Shamana Courses
Immersion into Ayurveda
This 5 day course will focus on empowering the individual with the healing wisdom of ancient India.
Incorporating theory and practice, you will learn to walk the path towards self-healing, transformation and balanced well-being.
Your will learn:
Yoga and meditation practices according to Ayurveda
How to improve your digestion and eliminate toxins
Pulse, tongue and body diagnosis
Self massage and detox practices
The use of common remedies and herbs
Ayurvedic cooking
The course will cover:
History, philosophy and cosmology of Ayurveda
Fundamental principles of Ayurveda
Ayurvedic approach to health and well-being
Diet, lifestyle and medicinal herbs
Cleansing and rejuvenating practices
*Temazcal (Mayan Traditional sauna) will be included in the cleansing practice
The Art of Meditation
The course will focus on introducing the practitioner to the art of Meditation. Covering a variety of meditations from the Yogic tradition:
Kaya Sthairyam (Body stillness): Learn how to steady the mind through concentration on the stillness of the body.
Chakra Shudhi (Purification of the psychic centers): Learn how to use concentration, breath and sound (mantra) to purify, open and awaken the chakras.
Ajapajapa (Continued repetition of mantra): Learn how to utilize the breath and the repetition of the mantra SOHAM & HAMSO within the spinal and frontal passages of the psychic body. Ajapajapa is a method of exploring the deeper realms of the mind and eliminating mental complexes. It is one of the most simple and effective ways to harmonize and balance the inner & outer worlds.
Antar Mouna (Inner Silence): In the practice we develop the skill of observing the thoughts and letting them go, developing the witness (the drashta).
Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep): In Yoga Nidra one goes through states of Waking, Dreaming and Deep Sleep, while maintaining conscious awareness.
Chakra Dharana (Concentration on the psychic centers): Experience and awaken the latent energies of the chakras through visualization and sound.
*Audio recordings of the meditations will be provided at the end of the course for continued self-practice.
Ayurvedic Massage
In this 5 day course we will immerse ourselves in the teachings of Ayurveda while focusing on hands-on experience and practice of this wonderful body work called Abhyanga.

Discovering Prana
Prana is the energy at the base of all creation, everything is a manifestation of prana in one form or another. In living beings, prana manifests as the life force, vital energy, inner power and strength.
In this workshop, we will learn to become more conscious of prana, how to use it for greater health, strength and higher awareness, utilizing the practices of Asana, Pranayama and Meditation.
The workshop includes:
